The trend was started by @snackqween who described it as magical and it has since caught on pretty quickly.
Every once in a while comes a new food trend, that has you raising your eyebrows while it also piques your interest. The lastest such trend is pouring ranch seasoning into jars of pickles to give create a tart and tangy snack. Yes, you heard that right. A new TikTok trend is trying to combine the two flavors to get a strong flavor that has the internet divided. While some absolutely love it, others can't stand it. The arguments on the platform almost feel like there's no in-between. Irrespective of your take on the flavor, it's certainly a cheap and low-calorie treat. More and more people on TikTok are trying the new trend of ranch pickles, reported Craft.Diply.
The trend is believed to have been started by @snackqween before it caught on pretty quickly and the pickles are very easy to make as well. People are picking their favorite brand of dill pickles and pouring their favorite ranch seasoning powder. You can choose whether to pop open a jar of spear, whole, or sliced pickles and add the ranch seasoning. Once your add the seasoning shut the lid back on and shake the jar until the seasoning is evenly distributed. The result is a soupy ranch mixture. Some users recommended using spear or bread and butter variety to help the pickles absorb more of the ranch flavor. It is important to push the seasoning down into the jar, rather than just let it float at the top. This should be followed by shutting the lid and shaking it up. The pickle juice will look opaque white when it's ready. If you want the flavor to catch on properly, you could put it in the jar and leave it in the refrigerator for more than 24 hours. You could then take them out and enjoy this amazing new snack. Of course, there's always the risk of being left with foul-smelling breath afterward. For those on low-sodium diets, you might want to skip this food trend.
My sister sent me a link for this today so I decided to try them... ranch pickles. Have to set for 24 hours but I'm sure I'm going to love them as ranch and pickles are already a go to snack for me. Also made a jar for my sister to try! pic.twitter.com/TfZsSMRZmE— Erica Chanen (@basicbechgamer) January 28, 2022
The trend has TikTok divided with some ailing the new combined flavor while others believe they are pretty good on their own but don't work together. Well, I got spicy ranch and did it and omggggg," wrote one person. Another added, "Those ranch pickles from TikTok really do smack😫🤤🔥 you gotta put more than one package of ranch seasoning though."
"The only way I eat pickles anymore now," wrote one user. "So good I drank the juice too," commented another. One user who tried it said it worked for her but not for her partner. "It seems to be about 50/50 divided. It was strong tasting to me, and my hubby said it just tasted like pickles to him.😅🤷🏻♀️" wrote one user. Another user concurred, writing, "I loved them but my husband said they were too salty for him. lol makes sense, I love salt! 😂" So what are you waiting for? give it a shot!
