Zeta-Jones, on the other hand, posted a picture of her with a young Carys and wrote an adorable tribute. "Happy 18th Birthday Carys Zeta! You are everything, and everything is you," the Oscar winner wrote. "Thank you for the joy you bring me. At 5 am this morning, you texted me to thank me, for giving birth to you. That’s the kind of woman you are. Kind. Your wisdom out numbers your years. Your beauty is deep and your heart is big enough to love and envelop the world, your sense of humor......very important.... is insurmountable. I could go on. Your Japanese needs some work, but that’s doable. I love you, angel. Mama."
So what does Carys have in store for her future? She will take up acting, Zeta-Jones revealed. Speaking to TODAY, the 51-year-old revealed that both her children would step into showbiz. "The journey I've had as an actor has been extraordinary. ... So I can only encourage them to do what they love. They're both extremely bright and they're both studying history and politics," she said, whilst cheekily noting, "And they get all their brains from me." While the celebrity-duo are happy with the decision, they have also suggested that they also consider other career options. She continued: "Michael and I would be the first parents to say, 'You know, maybe you should think of another career,' but we've seen how passionate they are about the craft. They know what celebritydom is. They know the good, the bad, warts and all of that," Zeta-Jones said.
As for now, Michael Douglas is awaiting the release of the third season of the hit Netflix dramedy series The Kominsky Method which he stars in. Zeta-Jones appears to be without projects as her Fox crime series Prodigal Son was canceled after two seasons.
