Little Debbie's Oatmeal Creme Pies Cereal Just Made Breakfast More Exciting

It retails for $3.99 for a 9.1-ounce box and $5.69 for a 14.5-ounce box, and is available in stores nationwide.

If there's anything that Americans remember about snack company, Little Debbie, it's their oatmeal creme pies. Now, things are about to get a whole lot better because the company has teamed up with Kellogg's to bring out this iconic snack in the form of cereals. Yes, you heard that right! Why have just the pies during snack time when you can start your day with it? The cereal was launched on the occasion of Little Debbie's 60th Anniversary according to a press release. The cereals are crispy oatmeal cookie flavored. But it's much more than that.

This is made from the "cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of molasses feature a sweet, creme-y coating reminiscent of those delightful pies, so each bite delivers the flavor of your favorite childhood snack," the release added. Erin Storm, senior marketing director of Kellogg All Family Cereal, said at the launch, "At Kellogg, we are always looking for delicious ways to surprise and excite our fans. The original Little Debbie snack cakes, Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies, have delighted millions of kids and adults alike for generations. With Kellogg's Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies Cereal, families can experience the iconic snack in a whole new form, building new breakfast memories while paying homage to the beloved childhood snack."

The cereal was finally debuted earlier this year and people could not help to rave about it. Although many pointed out that while it did not taste like the oatmeal creme pies, it nevertheless tasted delicious. One customer wrote on the Walmart website: "I've never been a big fan of Oatmeal Creme Pies, but man do I love this cereal! It doesn't taste too much like the creme pies but has the sweetest, yummiest taste of its own. My 2 sons." Another added: Overall very good cereal on its own, but it doesn't taste like the original snack, it reminds me of the 'Oh's' cereal.

Jeff Badger, vice president of marketing at McKee Foods, which owns the Little Debbie's brand stated, "It's a joyous moment to see one of our fans' most-loved Little Debbie products — the Oatmeal Creme Pie — be transformed for a new eating experience. The cereal captures the flavor of Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies in a fun, new way, whether you enjoy it in a bowl with milk or straight out of the box."

The pies are available for $3.99 for a 9.1-ounce box and $5.69 for a 14.5-ounce box in stores nationwide. Besides the oatmeal creme pies cereals. Kellogg's and Little Debbie also recently teamed up to launch the Cosmic Brownies cereals.
